BRONX, NEW YORK | Airbus was certainly the big winner at Farnborough rack in up a total of 496 orders worth approximately USD $75.3 billion. 138 of those aircraft are for commitment from airlines worth $36.9 billion and signed orders for 358 aircraft’s worth $38.4 billion all value amount in US dallars (USD).
Airbus launch the Farnborough Air Show with the long rumored Airbus A330neo, a re-engine option of their best-selling wide body aircraft, Airbus will launch the A330neo with two new models the A330-800neo and A330-900neo, the A330-800neo will take on the body of today A330-200 model while the A330-900neo will take on the body of the A330-300, the new updated aircrafts will featured a longer ranger up too 4000nm more than the current A330, along with newer wings and A350 like wingtips. Airbus is also looking to improve the interior of the A330neo with newer LED lighten and the ability to watch 3D movies and shows at 35 thousand feet in the air.
With the launch of the A330neo, Airbus saw a total of 121 orders worth $33.2 billion, from airlines such as Air Asia X, the low cost long haul carrier of Air Asia ordering 50 A330-900neo valuing at $13.8 billion, other airlines that made commitment and orders for the A330neo, was Transaero Airlines, Russia second largest air carrier, who signed commitments for 20 A330neo and an unnamed Asian carrier who signed for 4 A330neos. However it was the leading Aircraft lessors companies that was ordering and scooping up the A330neo a Farnborough; Aircraft Leasing Companies such as Air Lease Corporation, Avolon and CIT Group, together committed to acquiring a combined total of 55 A330neo, that was just the start of the Leasing Companies together they rack up almost every aircraft model from both Boeing and Airbus. Together they bought more aircraft than airlines, and accounted for more than 70% of Boeing and Airbus commercial aircraft orders at Farnborough.

While little brother A330neo was brand new to the scene rack up orders from lessors and airlines, the A350XWB and A380 was performing, putting on a show for the fans who attended Farnborough, during the performances the A350XWD was able to gain an order for 4 models from Air Mauritius, a four-star airlines by Skytrax and currently operates an all Airbus fleet of both Airbus A330 and A319 Aircraft.

The A380 on the other hand was the only aircraft still in Airbus production that didn’t win any orders at this year’s Farnborough Air Show. With that said we turn our heads to the bread winner of the Airbus fleet, the Airbus A320neo (new engine option) Family and the A320ceo (current engine option) Family of aircraft Airbus single aisle aircraft rack in 363 new orders and commitments worth USD $39 billion dollars. The A320neo Family won 317 orders valued at USD $34.4 billion and pushing the A320neo family to over 3000 log orders an achievement Airbus definitely appreciates. Most of the A320neo/ceo orders was from leasing commercial aircraft companies, such as SMBC Aviation Capital’s who firm order for 110 A320neo and five A320ceo jetliners; with other leasing companies such as AerCap, BOC Aviation, the CIT Group, Hong Kong Aviation Capital and International Airlines Group (IAG) jump in on the action.
