FIFA WORLD CUP | GROUP A | MATCH 2 | JUNE 13 | The Mexicans came out strong against their African opponents in what was a messy rainy match. The Mexicans had 2 great goals taken away from them as off-sides was called, however the Mexican stayed on the attack in a very rainy weather, and it was paid off in the 61′ st minute when Oribe PERALTA followed up with an amazing rebound finally getting a clean goal pass the Cameroon goalie Charles ITANDJE. Mexico against the Cameroon defense was a good match to watch, Cameroon defense was pretty strong, however we cant stay the same for their offense, which just didn’t show up.
Many chances pass up, when Cameroon was on the attack, often the player with the ball was the only one running on the attack. However their captain ETO’O and Stephane MBIA definitely came to play, ETO’O got some great shots in, one which was a industrious save from the Mexian goalkeeper 13 Guillermo OCHOA. Volker Finke Cameroon coach, was very disqusted and had the following words to say at the end of the match
“We’re very disappointed with the result; I think we deserved a draw. There’s still all to play for, though, and we’re going to head into the Croatia match with the intention of winning,” – Volker Finke, Cameroon coach.
