SMADE NEW YORK | First spy shot of Cadillac new performance coupe; the ATS-V, which is set to compete against the all-new BMW M4, and Lexus RC-F and the upcoming Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coupe. Like the M4, Cadillac is chosen to go to the twin-turbo V6 powerplant instead of a V8 like Lexus and Mercedes-AMG. The ATS-V Coupe will be using the Twin Turbo V6 found in the CTS Vsport. The all-new ATS-V Coupe is set to make its debut at the Los Angeles International Auto later in November.
Design-wise, the ATS-V Coupe is looking pretty much like the Coupes and the Sedan version of the ATS; The design also resembles a little bit of the CTS-V Coupe from a few years ago. However, there are a few differences between the ATS Coupe and ATS-V Coupe range, on the new ATS-V Coupe you will find these awesome quad tailpipes; a little bit like the BMW M4, where the exhausts are stack closer to the middle of the car. The front grille is split into two pieces, with meshing inserts and also a vent in the middle of the hood. One thing I am not feeling with the ATS-V in these spy shots is the rear spoiler. It is bizarre, I absolutely have never have seen any spoiler like that before, especially one that comes standard on a performance-oriented vehicle. However, even with the lousy spoiler – this is a car I can wait to check out in person and drive comes November.
How do you all think this car looks in comparison to the BMW M4 and Lexus RC F? Leave your answer in the comment box below.
